Born in en 1967, the artist Zofia Lipecka already has a remarkable record: she has exhibited in Paris, New York City and Warsaw; was collected by the Fond National d'Art Contemporain in France and by important private collectors and she is also being supported by several contemporary art critics .

During the 1990s, Lipecka successfully worked on various visual installations based on mirror effects, videos and photos. Since then there has been a natural mutation to the exploration of visual perception through new works where images are fascinating and elusive.

The Biotopia Series

The Biotopia cycle is the utopia of life. I have always been fascinated by Nature that has always been present in my early works from 1985 to 2000. My fantasy of a universal harmony, that includes all human kinds seem to have gradually been replaced by a real awareness of the fragility of life and the threat that we represent for our own planet. Biotopia includes the idea of a perfect world, close to heaven, where animals, plants and humans live in harmony, and also the idea of a poisoned, polluted and damaged Nature."
